Background

Siemens Energy India Limited has named Ajay Jain as Execution Unit Head for its Grid Technologies Transformers business, effective October 5, 2026. The change aims to strengthen operations in the company’s transformer business.

Jain moves over from CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited. He spent more than three years there as Vice President of the Transformer Business and ran a multi-plant operation with full profit and loss charge. Earlier, he held senior roles at Hitachi Energy India and GE T&D India, where he worked on profitability and plant efficiency.

He brings over 30 years of experience in large-scale manufacturing and profit and loss management in power transformers. His work has centered on customer satisfaction, market share growth and operational gains. Jain holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Power Systems from Punjabi University, Patiala.

He takes over from Ganesh Nadgouda, who had led the unit on an interim basis. Nadgouda left the senior management team at the close of business hours on October 4, 2026. He stays with the company as General Manager for Plant Operations in the same business.

The move points to a push to steady the Grid Technologies segment. Siemens Energy India has brought in a leader with direct profit and loss experience from a major rival, while keeping plant operations continuity under Nadgouda. The shift gives the unit a new commercial leader while its plant operations stay on a steady footing.
