Rihanna wasn’t born with a silver spoon, nor did she grow up in the posh Manhattan. She gathered all her wealth through her own music, concerts, and diverse business ventures.
Forbes’s annual list of America’s richest self-made women graced her for the third consecutive year. This CEO of Fenty Beauty ranked 21st overall and the only billionaire below age of 40. Rihanna’s huge fortune of $1.4 billion mostly amassed from the three retail companies of Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty, and Fenty Skin respectively. Some of it has been from her successful music career.
The company Savage X Fenty lingerie, where this 34-year-old singer owns 30% stake, is working on an IPO which might be potentially valued at $3 billion, according to a March Bloomberg report. Fenty Beauty where Rihanna has 50% stakes had generated $550 million in revenue in 2020.
Way back in 2019, Rihanna said that because she never planned on making a fortune, reaching financial milestones was not going to stop her from working, while talking to The New York Times’ T Magazine.
