Parag Agrawal, a 37-year-old Indian origin talent in America was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter on Monday 29th November. The announcement was done by Jack Dorsey, Twitter Co-founder, who would be leaving the company after surviving many challenges like the 2020’s ouster bid by an activist investor and the tumultuous presidency of Donald Trump.

Mr. Agrawal, who joined the company in 2011, became its Chief Technical Officer in 2017. Now, he will be leading the company in times of free speech legal battles the world over and growing local competitions globally. While applauding his role Mr. Dorsey said to the staff that, Mr. Agrawal was the company’s support in every critical decision and turning it around.

Tesla CEO Ion Musk also congratulated Mr. Agrawal saying that like many other tech companies (Google, Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, Palo Alto Networks) helmed by Indian-origin peoples, the American Tech industry benefits from Indian Tech Talent.
