EY selected Rohit Mathur for the role of Global Risk Consulting Leader, giving him the task of helping clients reshape their risk functions and lift business performance.

Based in London, Mathur takes on the role as businesses worldwide navigate constant disruption and look to turn risk management into a source of competitive advantage.

Mathur brings deep experience advising executives on transformation, board governance and resilience. He started his career at Arthur Andersen before joining EY, where he has served as a partner in both India and the UK.

Mathur is also part of EY’s global core team, which leads internal audit, internal controls and business process solutions for clients worldwide, working closely with senior executives to build agile, risk-aware organisations powered by technology, data and analytics.

Mathur called the appointment a privilege, saying risk now carries more weight than ever as businesses face a fast-moving, complex and connected world. He pointed to combining human judgment with data and AI-driven insights as the way forward for spotting risks, seizing opportunities and acting with confidence.

Beaufils praised Mathur’s experience across emerging and developed markets and his role in shaping major risk transformation programs at the firm, citing his client insight, collaborative leadership and drive for innovation as key strengths for the role ahead.

Mathur succeeds Kapish Vanvaria, who led the practice for three years and now moves on to become deputy vice chair for EY’s Americas consulting team. Mathur thanked Vanvaria for laying a strong foundation for the future.
