Gilead Sciences’ Remdesivir approved as COVID-19 drug by Japan
According to various reports, Japan’s health ministry stated that the nation has approved Gilead Sciences Inc’s remdesivir as treatment drug for the pandemic corona-virus COVID-19, making the drug to be nation’s first official tackling aspect for the currently spreading virus.
The reports also suggested that the rising sun country reached on the decision post U.S. drugmaker Gilead Science had filed for approval.
The same drug, Remdesivir was also granted authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for emergency utilization for tackling coronavirus.
